All You Ever Wanted To Know About Lure Machines and
Lure Operating, But Were Afraid to Ask!

This seminar, led by three of the most acclaimed lure operators in this sport, will cover all you need to know about lure operating and the latest in equipment, even if you never intend to operate yourself. This seminar will enlighten you and give you a new and more educated appreciation of this most critical task  whether you are a “newbie” or an “old hand” in the sport. We are especially encouraging those who have had some experience at operating to attend and to further their knowledge with this opportunity.

You will receive an introduction to course design, learn about what the LO is watching for in each breed, and see video and Power Point presentations which can help you to analyze what you are seeing at a trial. There will be useful handouts. This is a “must” for anyone who cares about being an informed participant in this sport.

The presenters are Sebastian Franzen (CA) Grimner Greyhounds and Lure Machines; Les Pekarski (GA) Comet Whippets and GANG founder and equipment manager, and Niklas Pisias (OR) of Chintimini KC, and most recently, selected as one of the operators for the AKC National Lure Coursing Championship, September 2008.

The format will be “round table” with time for questions and answers. There will be some hands-on time on the field (for registrants only) beginning at 5.30. On-field mentoring will be available during the JC Tests and Trials, (on Saturday and Sunday) but this will be strictly limited to seminar participants only who sign up at the conclusion of the Friday session.

Friday, September 25, 2009 from 4-5.30pm. Registration $20 per person
Location: Meadowbrook Farm, 1711 Boalch Ave. North Bend WA 98045
Go to www.cascadecoursing.org for detailed direction.

Space is limited, send your registration form and payment early, don’t delay! Registration is first-come, first served, and your space can be guaranteed only if you include payment with your completed form. You must be 18 years or older to participate. No Refunds will be granted for cancellation or no-show.

Many of the best and most experienced in the sport believe that it will cease to exist If the current generation of lure operators cannot find fresh minds and bodies to carry on. Here is an opportunity to help the sport grow and stay healthy!
