Here is the flyer for SCOBC’s Oct 10 all breed NOTRA meet:

Sighthound Club of BC

PLEASE give the event secretary a ‘heads up’ asap if you plan to attend this event
(there were very few whippets at the LC trial last weekend, and we cannot hold an Oval Track unless there are sufficient entries!)

Sighthound Club of BC presents an all breed* NOTRA, Saturday October 10, 2009 at 4949 Humphrey Rd, Agassiz, British Columbia (this is approx 45 minutes east of our usualy Abbotsford field)
350 metres, drag lure on grass, 4 dog races, 3 programs all breeds

*Eligible Entry:

Only purebred Afghan Hounds, Basenji, Borzoi, Cirneco dell’Etna, Greyhounds Ibizan Hounds, Irish Wolfhounds, Italian Greyhounds, Pharaoh hounds,Rhodesian Ridgebacks, Salukis, Scottish Deerhounds, Sloughis and Whippets that are one year of age or older on the day of the meet.  All entrants must be registered with either the Canadian Kennel Club, the American Kennel Club, the National Greyhound Assn or with any foreign registry recognized by the ACK.  Hounds, except whippets, registered with the AKC under ILP or the CKC equivalent may also be entered
Entries will only be accepted from hounds who have been qualified to race.  If you have any questions regarding your entry’s eligiblilty, please don’t hesitiat to check the organixation’s website at www.notra.ort or email the race secretary.

Boxes:  Greyhounds and Whippets to use starting boxes, all others to be hand slipped unless owners agree unanimously otherwise.

Entry Fees:
Emtries received (by email of phone) prior to 9 pm Thursday prior to the race day:  $12 first dog, $10 second or more to #35 household max
Day of meet entries $15 per dog… no household discount.

Inspection: To start at 9:30 am, last call and draw at 10:00 am

Directions to the field:

From Vancouver:  Take Hwy 1 east to Exit # 135 (highway 9 North to Agassiz)  Follow signs to Afassiz.  Pass through Agassiz, following signs to Harrison Hot Springs, Mission, Vancouver, and thruning right at the second traffic light.  Go over the railway crossing, then bear left (West) .  At the junction of Hwy 9 and 7, thru left onto the Lougheed Hwy to Mission (Vancouver)  After 1 mile, turn right onto Cameron Road (see closed gas station on left).  Humphrey Rd is the fist on left   The field is at the north west corner of the intersection.

From the US, take Exit #256 off I 5 in Bellingham and turn right at the light onto Meridian and follow the signs to the Sumas border crossing (north of Lynden)  Stay on the road that crosses the border and you are on Hwy #11.  About 2 miles north of the border crossing rutn Right (East) on Hwy #1.  Follow the directions as above.

There will be no concession per see, but coffee, tea, hot chocolate and muffins may be purchased on site.
