Here is the flyer for VIWA’s November 21 race meet:

Vancouver Island Whippet Assoc race meet

Saturday Nov 21 NOTRA 300 yd uval, 4 progs, 4 dog races

Whether this NOTRA meet goes will be based on expressions of interest submitted by this Sunday.  If entries are not enough, this meet will be cancelled.

N.B. There will be an oval race practice this Sunday (November 15) at 11:00 am

Venue – 3410, Telegraph Rd, Cobble Hill, Vancouver Island

Check in & measuring 10.00 am
Entries: pups – $6, adults – $11 for 1st, $9 next to kennel max of $32

Whippets not previously registered in NOTRA must bring a copy of their registration papers plus $2 US funds for each dog
Dogs must be pre-qualified to run.

11/19 update: Well I guess I spoke too soon. We have had another 2″ of rain this am & more to come this evening & overnight. The track is 75% under water & despite digging diversion ditches all morning, water is still rising. I estimate we need 24 hrs without rain to get the water away & I don’t see that happening, so reluctantly we will have to cancel the meet at this early stage.Thank you all for your original entries.
