WRAG June 5/6, 2010 race meets

Here is the flyer for WRAG’s June 5/6  race meets:

WRAG invites all Whippet and Greyhound owners to join us for our second race meet of the season!! We will be having pot luck on both days so please bring something to share, the theme is BBQ Picnic(i.e. hot dogs, salads, etc). Plus if you want to you can bring your suits, the pool is open for the season.  Just a reminder any children have to be supervised by their parent.  We will also be having a campfire on Friday & Saturday night, be sure come join the marshmallow roasting contest.

Registration: All hounds must be registered with NOTRA. To register your hound, submit a copy of the AKC/CKC registration papers and $2.00 registration fee to the appropriate person:

Although registering hounds on the day of the meet is permitted, it adds to the workload of the race secretary. Registering hounds in advance of the meet is encouraged and greatly appreciated, when emailing entries please be sure to include your dogs registered name.

NOTRA: 300 yards, 4 programs (Whippets) / 3 programs (Greyhounds), drag lure, 4 dog races.

Inspection from 9:00 to 9:30 a.m. Draw thereafter with racing to start by 10 a.m. each day. Start time may vary depending on field conditions (frost)

Entry Fees

Pre-Entries $12 for first entry, $10 for each additional entry same owner, to a maximum of $40.
Pre-entries must be received by the Race Secretary by Thursday, June 3rd, 9pm.
Late and Day-of-Meet Entries $15 each with no discount available.

Directions:

From Portland/South
Take I-84 east to Hood River, exit 64 White Salmon.
Cross bridge to Washington and make a right on WA-14
Follow WA-14 for 10 miles to the Klickitat Hwy WA-142
Follow WA-142 for approx. 25 miles, make a left on Glenwood Hwy (between
mileposts 24-25, just after a right turn, also called Glenwood-Goldendaleroad)
2220 is 1.6 miles on the left – look for a board fence and NOTRA signs.

Alternate Portland/South directions:
Take I-84 east to Biggs exit, US-97.
Cross bridge (97 north) to Washington and follow 10 miles to Goldendale.
Take the WA-142/Broadway exit and follow for approx. ten miles to Glenwood Hwy.
Make a right on Glenwood Hwy and follow directions above from there.

From Seattle/North:
Take I-90 east to I-82/US-97 south.
South of Yakima, take the US-97 turn off to Goldendale.
Take the WA-142/Broadway exit and follow for approx. ten miles to Glenwood Hwy.
Make a right on Glenwood Hwy and follow directions above from there.
