RFF Oct 1/2, 2011 CWA meets

Here is the flyer for RFF’s Oct 1/2 CWA race meets:

“RACING FOR FUN”
PRESENTS
TWO C.W.A. WHIPPET RACING MEETS

DATE: Saturday, October 1st and Sunday, October 2nd

LOCATION: Upper Sumas School, 36321 Vye Rd, Abbotsford, BC

DISTANCE: Adults – Saturday 200 yards, Sunday 150 yards

TIME: Check in/Measuring: 9:00 a.m.

ENTRY FEES: Per day – $12 first entry, $10 each additional dog, same owner.
$15 per entry received after Thursday, September 29th

Email entries can be sent to the Race Secretary, Jennifer Szabo, RacingForFun@shaw.ca Phone: – 604-467-7069.
A completed entry form with entry fees must be submitted before racing. Please bring exact change or make cheques payable to RFF not CWA.

CONFORMATION JUDGES:
Saturday – Gale Lyttle
Sunday – Linda Johnston

PLEASE NOTE: In order to enter, all whippets must be pre-registered with CWA and have a registration number. Registration applications can be downloaded at the CWA website: www.continentalwhippetalliance.com

SPRINTER RACES – for CWA ineligible Whippets (no measuring) – $5 per entry
3 programs – 200 yards

DIRECTIONS TO THE FIELD:
From Highway 1 take Exit #95 (Whatcom Rd) and proceed south (right). School is at the corner of Vye Rd. and Whatcom Rd. on your left.

From the US – take the Sumas border crossing and turn right at the light onto
Vye Rd. (Buckerfields & a gas station on your left). Turn left onto Whatcom Rd. for school parking lot.

POTLUCK LUNCH will be provided both days – all food donations welcome!

WWRC Sep 17/18, 2011 NAWRA/NOTRA meets

9/16 update: The Saturday NAWRA is cancelled due to lack of entries. Sunday NOTRA will happen as scheduled.

Here is the flyer for WWRC’s September 17/18 race meets:

NAWRA: Saturday Sept. 17, 2011    Field of Dreams – Beavercreek, OR
NOTRA: Sunday Sept. 18, 2011    Clark Park – Molalla, OR

NAWRA (Sat):     Adults (1 year and older) – 200-yard sprint on grass, drag lure, 4 programs

Puppies (8-14 months) – 150-yard sprint on grass, drag lure, 3 programs

Sprinter class – 200-yard sprint on grass, drag lure, 3 programs

NOTRA (Sun.):    Adults (1 year and older)  270-yard sprint on grass, drag lure, 4 programs – 4 dog races
Entry fees:           $12 first dog; $11 second dog; $10 third dog, puppies $5

$35 Same Owner fee for 4 or more dogs

Deadline:               Thursday Sept.15, 2011

Day-of-meet entry deadline is 9:30 AM and cost per dog will be $15.00.  No exceptions!

Inspection:           9:30 a.m. both days

10:00 a.m. board draw with racing to follow immediately on both days

Be There for Chicken Poo Bingo on Sat. at the Field of Dreams

Potluck lunch provided by WWRC on Saturday & Sunday.

WWRC members: don’t forget your potluck items.

Please pre-register your dogs before the meet and provide their registration numbers to Rinda.

To pre-register dogs with NAWRA, send $2.00 and a copy of the dog’s AKC/CKC registration to:  Jen Jensen, 7814 Apple Valley Court, Fair Oaks CA 95628

To pre-register whippets with NOTRA, send $2.00 and a copy of the dog’s AKC/CKC registration to:

NAWRA & NOTRA allow day-of-meet registrations, so you may also provide the above materials to the WWRC race secretary with your race meet entry.
