NWRRC July 30/31, 2011 AKC JC/QC/CAT tests and trials – Location and Judge changes

There has been a location change for NWRRC’s July 30/31 AKC tests and trials:

We are sorry to advise that the NWRRC LC Trial scheduled for July 30 and 31 at Meadowbrook Farms has to be moved to a new location.  The cause is field damage.  The condition of the Meadowbrook Farms field after a “warrior”  event on July 16 and 17 makes it unsuitable for lure coursing.  The field is full of holes, pits and trenches and contains lots of mud.  The field will have to be groomed and reseeded.  The other fields in the Meadowbrook complex are commercial hay operations and not scheduled for cutting for several weeks.    Meadowbrook called us four days ago and your LC trial committee has been working hard to find a new location.

The new location is Canine Country Club located at
2412 Neal Road SE
Fall City WA 98024

This is 22 miles east of Seattle off I-90

Directions

From Seattle:
Take I-90 East to Exit 22, for Preston.  Cross over the freeway and turn right at the stop sign (Preston-Fall City Road) and follow this until you reach Fall City.  The speed limit in Preston is low, and enforced.  When you reach Fall City, turn right at the stop sign, and cross over the river.  Take the first left over the bridge (highway 203) and go about 100 yard swim turn left on to Neal Road an go approximately 2 miles to the kennel and farm on your right.

From Redmond/Bellevue:
Take Highway 202 (Redmond-Fall City Road) into Fall City.  202 dead ends at 203.  Cross the bridge and be prepared to immediately turn left.  The first left is Neal Road.  It is directly across from the Fall City Grill.  Follow this for 2.2 miles.  We are on the right.  Currently, there are signs that the road is closed to through traffic – that’s true, but the road is closed after our address.

Folks who have pre-registered will be contacted by the Field Secretary directly.  If they do not want to participate at this no location, we will return their checks.

FYI – Cascade Coursing Club has used this vendor location earlier in the year for a trial, although not the specific field we will be using.   It is a very nice location.  Camping is allowed on the field although there are no hookups, etc.  No fires permitted, of course.

Thanks to Alice Walls, Simone Albert and Bruce Hubbert for their work in getting a new location on such short notice.

We’ll be posting a notice to the ASFA Region One Site plus NWCoursing, etc.  If you know anyone planning to attend, please pass along this information.

Of course, we are notifying AKC, etc. etc.  A revised premium is availble.

NWRRC AKC Field Trial Secretary

Also, please note the following judge change:

NWRRC posts a further change to the lure trials for AKC on July 30 and 31 at Canine Country Connections in Fall City, WA.
