Here is the flyer for VIWA’s March 5 race meet:

VIWA has a NAWRA meet scheduled for Sat March 5th to start the PNW race season

150 yd adults & puppies.

Venue – 3410 Telegraph Rd, Cobble Hill, BC.
Check in 10:00 am Sat.
First entry $12, 2nd & subsequent $10. Kennel same owner $35
Puppies $6

Coffee & pot luck lunch.

Adult entries must be registered with NAWRA & qualified to run.
Registration may be on the day with copy of papers plus $2 US.

5/19 UPDATE: The VIWA NOTRA meet that was scheduled for either May 22 or May 23 is cancelled due to lack of entries & personnel to run it. -Tony James

The VIWA NAWRA/NOTRA races scheduled for May 22/23 have been changed as follows:

NAWRA Cancelled

NOTRA Sat May 22 300m oval, 4 dog races, 4 progs CANCELLED

Venue – 3410, Telegraph Rd, Cobble Hill, Vancouver Island

Check in 10.00 am

Entries: adults – $12 for 1st, $10 next to kennel max of $34

Saturday Nov 21 NOTRA 300 yd uval, 4 progs, 4 dog races

Whether this NOTRA meet goes will be based on expressions of interest submitted by this Sunday. If entries are not enough, this meet will be cancelled.

N.B. There will be an oval race practice this Sunday (November 15) at 11:00 am

11/19 update: Well I guess I spoke too soon. We have had another 2″ of rain this am & more to come this evening & overnight. The track is 75% under water & despite digging diversion ditches all morning, water is still rising. I estimate we need 24 hrs without rain to get the water away & I don’t see that happening, so reluctantly we will have to cancel the meet at this early stage.Thank you all for your original entries.
