Practices and ASFA certs

Western Washington Whippet Association will hold two practices on Sunday, May 10 and Saturday, May 16, both in Monroe, WA. At the end of each practice a course will be set up for ASFA certifications. For more information, see the posting on the WWWA website.

Also Chintimini Kennel Club is holding practice on Saturday, May 9, as follows:

COURSING PRACTICE SATURDAY MAY 9

Chintimini Kennel Club has lure coursing practice at 2 locations.

CORVALLIS PRACTICE 10 AM

COTTAGE GROVE PRACTICE 1 PM

Go to www.chintiminikennelclub.com for directions to either field.
Both fields are good for  all dogs. Cottage Grove field is a 10 acre
horse pasture so especially good for large breeds or those needing a
longer straight run.

All dogs and puppies who love to chase are welcome.
All newcomers sign a hold harmless form.
Suggested donation of $5/dog.
For safety, no chain collars or flexileads allowed.  A leather or
nylon buckle or martingale (double loop) collar and lead is all you
need.

If you bring a slip lead (optional) and need help in using it, people
will be there to assist you.

(CORVALLIS)Do not park on lawn as there are underground sprinklers.
Please park on gravel or asphalt such that other cars may pass.
Parking available on field south of the grey house-upper portion
only,it will be marked.  Parking available by the basketball hoop on
the right south of duplexes.

(COTTAGE GROVE) Follow the signs down to the field, parking on gravel
by the barn.

Bring an extra lead so that someone can catch your dog at the end.
That way there is no waiting for the next person to take the lure
down to the start with their dog.

There will be people there to show you what to do, it is easy and and
fun and a blast to watch your dog run.

Both fields are fenced.  Bring treats if you need to if your dog does
not have a reliable recall.

Please address questions about the Chintimini KC practices to Sue Pisias.
